Watch Your Mouth – 4 things to say when you don’t know what to say about your career

There are many times in life when we face challenges and we may want to complain about our work situation. However, that is not the time to have diarrhea of the mouth. In difficult times it is crucial to watch the words you speak. Proverbs 15:23 says “A man (or woman) has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!” (NKJV)

There are 4 things you can say when you don’t know what to say:

1.       “Bless the Lord.”

Psalm 34:1 (NKJV)  “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth”
No matter what your career looks like, cease to complain. Only bless the Lord at this time. This phrase may be difficult to say when all “hell” is breaking loose. Remember, your future depends on your mouth.

2.       “God Reigns.”
Exodus 15:18 (NJKV) “The Lord shall reign forever and ever.”

Many times we fear what may happen in the future. Change is always present and sometimes a change in your career or work situation may bring stress and concern. The thought that a change is from God is a new approach to uncertainty. Nobody thinks losing a job is a good thing, until they get a much better job.

3.       “My season for success is coming.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) “To everything there is a season A time for every purpose under heaven”

I believe you only get a miracle when you expect one. It may be  challenging, but you must keep an open mind with a heart full of expectation. Don’t go backward, keep moving forward to your miracle.

4.       “I server a Mighty God.”

Psalm 150:2(NKJV)  “…Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!”

Sometimes your fear will trump your belief that our God is a mighty force. You must trust in the truth that the God you serve is the same God that put the Universe in place. He is the same God that made the mountains and the sea. This mighty God sent His only Son to die for you. He cares about what is important to you. Believe that your God is mighty enough to handle every situation you face.
