Where is God In Your Career Storm?

Code RED Weather Warning: The NWS  has issued a Flash Flood Warning for your Property location

This is what flashed on the screen of my phone @ 5:29am on Monday Sept 17. It was after Hurricane Florence. We had braced ourselves for the storm and for the aftermath of flooding. The tenants had evacuated and most of the area had flooded. I was particularly concerned because this property was the home of my great grandmother. I had recently taken the time to renovate the property in 2017. Now, faced with the reality that it could indeed be flooded my only hope was to pray.In my heart,  I believed God for dry land around my property. However, the television and everything online was showing flooding everywhere running rampant in the county. I even had someone text me pictures of the road where the property was located as being flooded. I was wondering where was my God during this storm? I did not have much faith. I was doubtful that my property was ok based on the area being flooded and the evidence of several code reds being text to my phone. However, my God is faithful even when I had very little faith and my hope was dead. The property did not flood and the tenants returned with no damages at all.

In the same manner, You may be experiencing a storm in your career. You may see other people in your organization being laid off. You may be hearing rumors all around you. Just know that your God is with you in the storm. Even though the environment may be challenging, God is with you. You must have the faith to believe that God will work things out in your favor. If you are laid off, God will open up opportunities for you that are best suited for your skills and abilities. If you are not laid off, then God will continue to pour out his favor on your current circumstance. Either way God is with you in the storm. He said in his word in Isaiah 43:2, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you…”
