This week I caught myself complaining a lot about how some of my colleagues were not doing as much work I thought they should be doing. Then I realized that I should not be whining, but be thankful that I have a job! I know that God sees everything. Even though it may seem like no one is noticing the uneven distribution of work, I know someone will notice if they take the time and pull the stats.
Anyway, I was reading and I found Proverbs 13:4 and it is the inspiration for this week's Prayer for your Career. If you are in a situation similar to mine. You must have a mature attitude. Don't whine and complain like a baby. Do what is needed to make things happen for your employer. I guarantee that your labor will not go unnoticed. Check out the prayer:
Help me to be more engaged at work! When I want to complain, show me how to focus on solutions to the problem. I know with Your help, I can become a better problem solver. Allow me to happily perform the tasks that everyone else despises. I know that by doing my best, You will allow me to find favor in the sight of my managers and our customers. I ask for Your help to be more diligent at work because Proverbs 13:4 says "The soul of a lazy man (or woman) desires nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich."
In Jesus' Name I pray,
